i've read the below article of [i]laisee[/i], i wonder if your "red pocket" means "red packet", which always have been mistaken as "red pocket" by many cantonese?? please advise.

Red packet is probably the "correct" term. However, people know what you're referring to when you say "red packet", "red pocket" or "laisee", especially if you're married!
