Has anyone applied for the HK Travel Pass (http://www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/hktraveldoc_3.htm) successfully or unsuccessfully. Specifically for a non business reason.

I was reading the application and its straight forward. They of course require the reason and am wondering if using HK as a base to travel through Asia extensively would count. If not could always get a friend to act like my girlfriend and be the reference on the application. Would love to hear what reason people gave and successfully got the visa with for non business.
