I am from the Philippines and me and american fiancee is planning to get married in hogkong. I've learned from a website that it will take 17 days before a marriage license can be released. May I know if there are some other way to shorten the processing time to less than a week? Is there any lawyer who can help us and if there is can you recommend one? Another thing is do I need to change my old passport which bears the name of family name of my ex husband? I am legally divorced.
If in case it is needful for us to stay longer in hongkong, is there anybody from this forum who can help us to find a cheaper place to stay for at least two weeks?
I hope I can find a filipino family who would really care to help me.
