I am a business school student from United States. I am currently writing a paper on the expat life in Hong Kong. Your experience here in Hong Kong would be a great help for my paper.

Specifically, I would like to know more about the following:

1. Which country did you come from? Did you have expat experience in other countries?

2. Why did you choose to work in Hong Kong? If you are assigned by your company , what do you think your company choose you to work in Hong Kong?

3. What were your reactions and thoughts when you first knew about this assignment? How did your spouse feel about this assignment?

4. When you first arrived, what was your first impression of Hong Kong? Did you experience any cultural shock?

5. How did you get to know this city better? Did your company offer any orientation workshop before you arrived in Hong Kong? Any other assistance offered from your company?

6. How is the work place in Hong Kong different from that in your home country? What do you like and what do you not like?

7. Do you plan to return to your home country? What does your company offer you to return to your home country? What is your expectation from your boss and your company about returning to your home country?
